This was my 2 element quad. It was a homebrew job. It had loops for 20-17-15-12-10-6, all fed with separate feedlines, from a homebrew remote switch mounted in an ammo can just under the boom.Made out of angle steel, the frame was plenty strong enough for even a 40-meter quad.
But alas, the frozen tundra of Buffalo, NY was too much for the fiberglass spreaders to bear. On January 31, 2002 we had an ice storm, followed by 70MPH winds. Not only did the Quad blow apart, the telescoping tower she sat upon won't fully retract anymore.
